BU Damansara PG Report 18 JUNE

Hey All!

This time round, BU Damansara PG have our lunch at “The Bah Kut Teh Place” at 1U Old Wing. Well, it is time to try something very different and the restaurant is in a good location whereby is quiet. Thanks to Elona, Adeline Lim, Brandon Ding and Carina and Alex Au-Yong for making it for the PG! Praise God! It was awesome and we had a great time. We welcome back Brandon Ding for joining us again amidst his busy schedule. Check out our yummy food and pictures!

As You can see we enjoyed our Bah Kut Teh very much!! Check out our expressions man!

We shared our powerful testimonies and have a great time laughing at some jokes. Lastly we prayed for each other and it was time to pay our bill with Elona’s help! She look like a “Tai Kah Che” haha.. And yes, that’s my calculator she is holding there!!…. ;P

So see you guys/gals for the next PG ya! Take care and God Bless! :-D

Cheers, Janet Chai

BU Damansara PG Report 11 JUNE 2008

Hi everyone!
We had our PG this week on a Wednesday at Pho Hoa Vietnamese Restaurant @ The Curve. Most were busy at work and could not make it this week. Honestly, this weeks PG was by faith! The emails went out but no replies at all! God brought Carol Yap who joined us for the first time and we had Nicole Tan too.

Carol, Alex & Nicole being whacky!

We had a fruitful time sharing about ourselves, our work and petrol prices!! As we fellowshiped, it became apparent to us that though it was just the 3 of us this week, (compared to last week’s record of 15 people) it was not by chance that we were having lunch together. Carol was around the area and called me out for lunch and I told her about today’s PG. Nicole wanted to get out of the office because she refused to work during lunch time. She replied my email saying she was coming but I had missed her email altogether. It’s a wonder that we’re able to meet, share this testimony and write it as part of our PG report!!

God reminded me that going to PG each week is an act of faith. We live it and act it out in the choices that we make. And you can be certain that God honors these choice/sacrifices, and surprises us sometimes! It’s not about how many we have for PG this week. But rather, what we expect God to do in us and through us when we are there. Amen?!! I am so glad I was there at PG this week!!!

Running off… Alex Ironmaniac

Flash back to "Gimme A Break" LIFE Retreat

On May 18th 2008, a group of around 80 Young Working Adults (YWAs) packed their bags and journeyed up Fraser’s Hill for an awesome LIFE Retreat at Pines Resort. The theme for this year’s retreat was “Gimme A Break!” since it was meant to give the young working adults of ACTS a chance to relax......... so for more of happening news & flash backs.... go check out the pics at http://theactschurch.org/pr_display.cfm?ID=1 .

Also here are a few first hand reviews by our PG members who had the mountain top Actsperience:-

Pam Choo: The retreat was uber blasting!!! (1st line) When I remembered His love, nothing else matters and at the same time, everything makes sense.(2nd line) Everyone who went and rocked Fraser's Hill, you made the experience uber rocking!!!! (3rd line)

Adeline Lim:It was a great retreat although tiring :) ! Found it spiritually enriching. Enjoyed the fellowship - met a no of new friends and got to know some even better through the midnight chats. I was encouraged by the testimonies shared even during the morning devotion. Thanks to the camp committee for an awesome job! Way to go!!!

Should have been there? Don't worry but lookout for the upcoming LIFE gathering which will be coming your way real soon!

Meanwhile, Father's Day is just around the corner so it's your chance to show your act of kindness so come and share your ideas over lunch on Wednesday.

21st MAY @ MONG KOK, 1UBU

Hello....

So here's the much awaited & anticipated update on last week's power lunch. My apologies for the confusion on where to meet for lunch as there are just too many choices..phew.

Anyhow...thank you to the following people who made it happen although some just returned the nite before from Life Retreat! As for you who didn't go for Life Retreat but had a long weekend...hope you rested well.

(1)Adeline Lim
(2)Doris of blook - Welcome back
(3)May of blook
(4)Jospin of elo
(5)Carina Lim

I felt Mong Kok was a good change as the food & the bustling environment was happening especially when Nikki got the place smoking with sizzling plate dish.

The sizzling is getting quite a few attention & Carina vying at it with a huge grin. A penny for your thought Carina?

Now that's big ...... I mean the thick peanut butter bread! : ) Dig in Jo.....

Clockwise: Nikki, Joshua, Elona, Doris, Jospin, May, Carina, Adeline, Sam

So where should we "cari cari makan" tomorrow? Check out "What's happening this week" on the side bar for the current update!

Btw, there is a chat box at the top of the page for you to comment or pen on this blog. Try it out it's cool.
